Non-Resident Existing licenses will be renewed and new licenses can be issued if the home state’s requirements are met.
    For resident broker-agents, these special training requirements shall be part of, and not in addition to, the continuing education requirement.

  • Ethics Training

    • All producers must complete at least a 4-hour credit training course, specific to the license type held, approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services.

    • When two or more licenses are held, the producer must complete at least a 4-hour credit training course specific to at least one license type held.

  • Annuity Training

    • A producer who engages in the sale of annuity products shall complete at least a 4-hour credit training course approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services each renewal period.

  • Long Term Care Training

    • A producer who engages in the sale of Long Term Care products shall complete an initial 8-hour credit training course approved by the Florida Department of Financial Services. In addition, the producer must complete an ongoing 4-hour credit training course each renewal period thereafter.

  • Flood Insurance Training

    • Insurance producers who sell flood insurance must complete at least a one-time, 3-hour credit training course on the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

  • Any person meeting the following requirements will be exempt from completing continuing education (CE) to renew his or her license:

    • Licensees who are officials or employees of a Florida entity as set forth in Section 626.2815(3)(h), F.S.

  • In Florida, insurance agent and adjuster licenses are perpetual and does not require a renewal. The license will expire if it goes 48 months without an appointment.

  • FastrackCE courses are categorized as online self-directed or self-study.
  • The Final Exam is closed-book and does not require a monitor/proctor.
  • You must receive a score of 70% or better to pass the exam.
  • You will be given the opportunity to retake the exam if a passing score is not received.

Certificates of completion are available immediately after passing your exam by logging into your account and navigating to your Course History.

FastrackCE reports your credits the next business day except holidays to the state. The state recognizes the date you passed/completed the exam as the date of completion. It is not based upon the day we report the hours to them.

Courses can only be repeated for continuing education credit if the completion dates are in a different license term.

  • In Florida, excess continuing education (CE) hours accumulated during any two-year compliance period can be carried over to the next compliance period.
